Daar's Bloed (2023)
Cassandra Roothman, a soapie star for the last 15 years, becomes paranoid when private photos of her appear in a magazine, suggesting she has a stalker. Even worse, the 35-year-old discovers that a new actress, Becky, has been cast as her long-lost adult daughter – and possible replacement.
Hildegardt Silkiewicz (Bonita in 7de Laan) stars in Daar's Bloed as Cassandra, with musician Bouwer Bosch (Vuil Wasgoed, Buurtkrag) as Benji and Claudia Jones (Diepe Waters, Binnelanders, Getroud Met Rugby) as Becky.
The 48-minute thriller is written and directed by Christo Davids. The former 7de Laan actor won a SAFTA last year as part of the writing team on Good Men and has directed multi-award-winning shows like Legacy. Solomon Cupido produces through Sturvy Pictures (Frankie en Filipe).
